Paul Choi is a tireless human rights advocate and steadfast defender of visible minority communities. His practice spans Real Estate Law, Corporate & Business Law, Wills & Estates, Contract Law, Human Rights Law, and Arbitration & Mediation, delivering strategic, culturally informed solutions to clients across British Columbia and Ontario. 

Paul’s commitment to community driven economic growth is rooted in executive leadership roles such as President & CEO of the Burnaby North Road Business Improvement Association and Governor of Kwantlen Polytechnic University, where he championed budget accountability and inclusive stakeholder engagement. His earlier decade long service as a police officer informs his investigative acumen and unwavering dedication to public service. 

An executive member of the Canadian Bar Association’s Criminal Justice Section, Paul has been a vocal proponent of access to justice and progressive criminal procedure reform. His dual master’s degrees in law, combined with professional designations in mediation, arbitration, and corporate governance, give him the multidisciplinary toolkit to resolve complex legal disputes and craft forward looking legal strategies.

Paul Choi is a seasoned lawyer and entrepreneur with a multidisciplinary background in public safety, law, and community leadership. His legal career began with the establishment of a notary practice in 2016 after completing a Master of Arts in Applied Legal Studies at Simon Fraser University. While working full-time as a police officer, Paul simultaneously completed his studies and co-founded Juris Notary LLP, delivering accessible notarial services to clients across the Lower Mainland.

In his legal practice, Paul has focused on real estate transactions, corporate and commercial law, and civil litigation. He advises a broad clientele—from individuals to businesses—on matters ranging from property development to dispute resolution. He is certified as a Mediator and Arbitrator by the ADR Institute of Canada, further enhancing his ability to resolve conflicts with fairness and clarity.

Paul’s leadership extends beyond the courtroom. He served as President of the Burnaby North Road Business Improvement Association, where he championed local economic development, public accountability, and inclusive stakeholder engagement. Her practice is especially attuned to the needs of small business owners, immigrant families, and clients with cross-border financial considerations.

She currently serves as Vice President of the Burnaby North Road Business Improvement Association, where she works to support small businesses and promote local economic vitality.
